Customized '55' Ford Panel Truck from Denver, Colorado.

This is the motor in Rick Murray's custom 49 Merc roadster-pickup and is being built by Xtreme Performance Engines in Denver, Colorado specifically to unveil at the Viva Las Vegas Car Show. Corvette L48 with stage 3 turbo cam, Wiend Tunnel-ram intake, Edlebrock 2 fours, forged pistons, forged crank, forged rods, gear drive, mild stall converter, 202 Chevy camelback heads and twin T4 turbo chargers. Frame is a 62 Chevy Impala boxed and reinforced and pinstriped by "Chad." Candy purple painted engine block and A-arms.

This "knock-out" custom, was DENIED by self proclaimed "defender of the fifties," Axle Idzardi of the Viva Las Vegas Car Show. It is painfully obvious that his little car club, the Shifters, could not compete with a genuine custom car builder. Axle, who would let a little self-serving "jerk" car show promoter, decide which cars are worthy of entry? How many of your club's cars are in the show?...more?
